هدف این پژوهش، مقایسۀ تأثیر یک جلسه تمرین تخصصی فوتسال همراه با و بدون محدودیت جریان خون (BFR) بر فعال‌سازی عوامل آنژیوژنیک و آنژیواستاتیک مردان فعال بود. 12 نفر دانشجوی تربیت‌بدنی، که ویژگی‌های شرکت در پژوهش را داشتند، به‌صورت هدفمند انتخاب و به دو گروه تمرین تخصصی فوتسال همراه با محدودیت جریان خون (سن 1/17±24/16 سال و کیلوگرم بر متر مربع 2/25±22/48: BMI) و تمرین بدون محدودیت جریان خون (سن 1/83±23/76 سال و کیلوگرم بر متر مربع 1/83±21/87:BMI) تقسیم شدند. آزمودنی‌ها در هر دو گروه، تمرین سه در برابر سه را، که یک تمرین تخصصی در رشتۀ فوتسال است، به‌صورت شش تکرار دودقیقه‌ای انجام دادند. بین هر تکرار یک دقیقه استراحت اعمال شد. در گروه تمرین با محدودیت جریان خون، فشار کاف 110 درصد فشار خون سیستولیک روی ناحیۀ فوقانی هر دو ران در نظر گرفته شد. از همۀ آزمودنی‌ها قبل و بلافاصله بعد از انجام پروتکل، نمونۀ خونی به‌منظور اندازه‌گیری مقادیر VEGF و اندوستاتین و نسبت این دو فاکتور به هم گرفته شد. همچنین، روش الایزا برای اندازه‌گیری متغیرها مورد استفاده قرار گرفت. از آزمون‌های تی مستقل و وابسته در سطح معنی‌داری 0/05≥P  برای تعیین تفاوت بین‌گروهی و درون‌گروهی استفاده شد. نتایج آزمون‌ها تفاوت معنی‌داری را برای هیچ‌کدام از متغیرها بین دو گروه نشان نداد. بااین‌حال، مقادیر VEGF به‌طور معنی‌داری در هر دو گروه کاهش یافت (0/002=P) و همچنین، مقدار اندوستاتین در هر دو گروه به‌طور معنی‌داری افزایش نشان داد (گروه تمرین با P=0/003 :BRF، گروه تمرین:
P=0/005). نسبت VEGF به اندوستاتین در گروه تمرین با BFR به‌طور معنی‌داری تغییر کرد (P=0/002)، اما تغییر آن در گروه تمرین معنی‌دار نبود (P=0/006). این نتایج در
حالی به‌دست آمد که تفاوت معنی‌دار لاکتات نشان‌دهندۀ شدت بیشتر برای گروه تمرین با محدودیت جریان خون (P=0/003) بود. نتایج این پژوهش نشان‌داد که یک
جلسه تمرین تخصصی فوتسال با محدویت جریان خون سطح سرمی VEGF را کاهش می‌دهد و همانند بسیاری از مطالعات، سطح اندوستاتین را افزایش می‌دهد.
